Medieval City

This was a project that I initially started in 2023 and finished in early 2024. I have a lot of interest in history, especially the medieval period and so decided to model a realistic medieval city street using modular building techniques and trim sheets. My knowledge and skills have improved a lot since and I wanted to go back and update this project, in particular the lighting, level design and texturing. I was also able to add a few extra models to it, modelled from scratch as well as taken from other projects I had since worked on. I think that this is a big improvement and I really enjoyed playing around with weather setting within UE5 and general expanding the scene more.

Models were made with Autodesk Maya, textured in Substance Painter and Photoshop and rendered with Unreal Engine 5 and Marmoset Toolbag.

Foliage taken from Quixel Bridge.
Puddles are from Twins-creators of Fab.
Weather and sky are from the Ultra Dynamic Sky pack.
