These are some of my 'poster' style renders of my GWR 'Hall' Class steam locomotive that I made as part of the project on the previous post. I made various 'liveries' that this class of locomotive wore throughout its 40 or so years of service between 1928 and 1965 and I was inspired by the work of artist Stuart Black for the composition of my renders: https://www.stuartblack.com.
This was probably one of the biggest and most complex models I have ever created however I really enjoyed working on it, improving my hard surface modelling, UV mapping and texturing over the few months this took.
Modelled in Autodesk Maya, textured with Substance Painter and Photoshop. Rendered using Marmoset Toolbag and edited in Photoshop.
